PP Reducing Coupling (Compression Reducer)
A compression reducer that steps a pipe run from one bore to another - from 25×20 up to 110×90. Fit each end to its own pipe, nip up the two clamps, and the transition is sealed and ready to pressurize. No heat, no solvent, no curing.

Product Overview
What a reducing coupling does and the jobs it handles
Put simply, it joins two pipes of different sizes. Put to work, it is what lets an existing line grow or shrink without cutting in a new welded fitting.
A reducing coupling, sometimes called a reducer or a reducer coupling, is a fitting with two openings of different bores. Each opening works exactly like a compression joint: you push a pipe in and tighten a clamp ring, and an EPDM seal on that side is pressed into place. The two sides are independent, so a single fitting can hold two different diameters at once.
This is how you adapt a system that is already installed. A header mainline steps down to a lateral; a feed line meets a smaller distribution pipe; a pump discharge is reduced to the manifold size. Because each end is a mechanical seal rather than a weld or a glue bond, the reducer also lets you join different materials of matching size - a PP run into a PE run, for instance - without hunting for an adapter.
We make them in-house and pressure-test them before they leave. Tell us the two diameters you are working with and the pressure you run, and we will confirm the pair that fits your line.
Key Features
Why installers keep a reducer on the truck
The advantages are the kind you notice at the end of a long day on site, not in a sales sheet.
Two ends, two sizes
One fitting carries two different bores, so you step a line down in a single joint instead of stacking a row of adapters together.
Sealed independently, both sides
Every end has its own EPDM seal. If one pipe is a slightly looser fit, its own clamp still pulls that seal in - one side never depends on the other.
Break it apart and redo it
Both joints are mechanical. Loosen the clamps, reset the fitting, or lift it off and use it somewhere else when the layout changes.
Made to sit outdoors
UV-stabilized PP body and a working range of roughly −10 °C to 60 °C keep the fitting dependable through a season in the open.
Rating checked per pair
Working pressure to about 1.6 MPa (PN16) and burst above 3.0 MPa, with the figure confirmed against each size pair and design before we ship.
Built around your sizes
Your two diameters, your color, your label. Send the pair you need and we quote from your actual spec, not a general list.
Technical Specifications
Size pairs and ratings, at a glance
The figure before the × is the larger opening, the one after is the smaller. The table below covers our standard offering; anything beyond these - another combination, a different color, a higher rating - is a conversation, not a problem.
Ratings are reference values for typical designs; the exact rating for your order is confirmed against the two sizes, wall thickness and operating conditions you specify. Other combinations and colors are available on request.
Applications
Where a reducer saves you a spliced fitting
Every one of these is a place a line changes bore, and a compression reducer gets it done without cutting in a new joint.
Stepping a header down
A bigger supply header dropping to smaller laterals is the classic reducer job, finished in minutes with no welder on site.
Sizing an extension
When the new length of pipe is a different diameter from the existing run, a reducer makes the change without ripping anything out.
Joining PP to PE
Both ends are mechanical, so a reducer can carry a PP run over to a PE run of matching size, with no adapter in between.
Resizing greenhouse feeds
Adapting feed and misting lines to the diameter each bench needs, and changing it again when the crop plan changes.
Orchard supply runs
Threading different-bore lines between trees and vines, where a quick mechanical transition keeps install crews moving.
Flexible garden systems
Home and seasonal watering rigs that get resized and pulled apart at the end of the season rather than scrapped.

Installation
Installed with a wrench and a few minutes
No heat, no solvent, no special tooling beyond a standard wrench - which is exactly why this reducer turns up in installers' boxes.
Sort the two ends
Put the larger pipe in the larger opening and the smaller pipe in the smaller one. Square both cut ends and clear any burrs or debris so the seals seat cleanly.
Seat both pipes
Slide each pipe home until it meets the internal stop. Getting both fully in matters - the seals and clamps need their full length of pipe to work on.
Nip up both clamps
Take each clamp ring up with a standard wrench until it is firm. Stop before it is reefed down - an even, firm grip is what seals without crushing the pipe.
Material & Quality
Material we control, checks we can show you
The process is straightforward, and so is the record keeping.
Clean polypropylene, no reprocessed scrap
The body is moulded from virgin PP rather than reclaimed material, so color, stiffness and weather resistance hold from batch to batch. Seals are EPDM and clamps are metal, each biting firmly and evenly on the pipe.
Assembled and checked in-house
Production runs under an ISO 9001 quality system. Every stage from molding to assembly to sealing is inspected, and reducers are pressure-tested in batches and given a visual check before packing.
Compliance to order
Depending on your destination market, we can supply the reducer to meet ISO, CE, Russian GOST and Australian Watermark requirements. Tell us where it is going and what it must comply with.
Batch traceability
Samples and production runs come from the same process, so the sample you approve is the product you receive. Per-batch records make repeat orders and third-party audits uncomplicated.
Compression vs. other joints
How a compression reducer stacks up
When a line has to change size, there are a few ways to do it. This is where the compression reducer sits.
The compression reducer is not a stand-in for a high-pressure fusion reducer; it earns its place where speed, reworkability and joining different materials matter more than the top pressure figure.
OEM / ODM
Your brand, your size pair, our tooling
We are set up to run as the factory behind your name.
Sizes and colors to order
Blue, black, green - and any size pair in the range or beyond. The reducer is produced to the dimensions and finish you specify.
Label it yours
Your logo and packing, not ours. We supply under your brand to resellers and distributors.
Sample before bulk
We can send samples for approval first, so you check fit and finish against your own pipe before committing to a volume order.
FAQ
Q1: What is a PP reducing coupling?
A: A PP reducing coupling - a PP compression reducer, if you prefer - is a fitting with two openings of different sizes. Each opening takes its own pipe and is sealed by its own clamp, so no heat welding or solvent glue is involved.
Q2: Which size pairs are available?
A: The standard range covers pairs from 25x20 mm up to 110x90 mm - including 32x20, 40x25, 50x40, 63x50, 75x63, 90x75 and 110x90. If you need a pair that is not listed, we can produce it to order.
Q3: Can it connect different pipe materials like PE and PP?
A: Yes. Each end is a mechanical seal rather than a weld or a glue bond, so the reducer can join different materials of matching size - for example, taking a PP line across to a PE line without an adapter.
Q4: Is a reducing coupling reusable after disassembly?
A: Yes. Both joints are mechanical, so you can slacken the clamps, reset the fitting, or lift it off and put it to use elsewhere when a line is rerouted.
Q5: Is it suitable for outdoor use?
A: Yes. The body is UV-stabilized polypropylene, and the fitting performs reliably between roughly -10 degC and 60 degC, which covers most irrigation and low-pressure water applications.
Q6: Do you offer OEM or custom branding?
A: Yes. We offer OEM and ODM service, including custom size pairs, colors, logo printing and private-label packing. Samples can be arranged before a bulk order.
